DISCOLORATION OF WATER

Over the last couple days you may have noticed a discoloration in the water being distributed from the Tazewell County PSA Water Treatment Facility in Tazewell.  At this point the discoloration according to the Virginia Department of Health Office of Drinking Water appears to be caused by a higher than normal level of manganese.  It should show positive results in the next few days, but it may take longer to fully return to its normal clear appearance due to the size of our distribution system.  According to the Office of Drinking Water, the levels being detected are not a health concern.  We appreciate your patience as Tazewell County PSA addresses this issue.
